Mylan Inc. and its subsidiaries (the “Company”, “Mylan”, or “we”) comprise a global pharmaceutical company that develops, licenses, manufactures, markets and distributes generic, brand and branded generic pharmaceutical products and active pharmaceutical ingredients (“API”). The Company was incorporated in Pennsylvania in 1970. The Company amended its articles of incorporation to change its name from Mylan Laboratories Inc. to Mylan Inc., effective as of October 2, 2007. Effective October 2, 2007, the Company amended its bylaws, to change the Company’s fiscal year from beginning April 1st and ending on March 31st, to beginning January 1st and ending on December 31st. As a result, this Form 10-K is a transition report and includes financial information for the period from April 1, 2007 through December 31, 2007 (the “Transition Period”).
