Northern Trust Corporation (Corporation) is a financial holding company that is a leading provider of investment management, asset and fund administration, fiduciary, and banking solutions for corporations, institutions, and affluent individuals. The Corporation conducts business through various U.S. and non-U.S. subsidiaries, including The Northern Trust Company (Bank). The Corporation has a network of 85 offices in 18 U.S. states and has international offices in 15 locations in North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. At December 31, 2007, the Corporation had consolidated total assets of $67.6 billion and stockholders’ equity of $4.5 billion. The Bank is an Illinois banking corporation headquartered in the Chicago financial district and the Corporation’s principal subsidiary.
